Who It's For
Is This Program Right for You?
The Men's Program at Mercy House is for men who are ready to stop surviving and start living — men who are tired of the same cycles, the same consequences, and the same hopeless feeling that nothing will ever change. You don't have to have it all figured out before you call. You just have to be willing to try something different.
We welcome men from all walks of life — those coming voluntarily, those referred by the court system, and those who have been pushed toward us by a family member who still believes in them. Regardless of how you arrive, what matters most is that you're willing to commit to the process.
This is not a quick fix. Mercy House is a long-term residential commitment — typically 12 to 15 months. That length is intentional. Deep, lasting change doesn't happen in 30 days. It takes time, community, and consistent effort. The men who finish this program come out different — not because the program is magic, but because they did the work.
Life on Campus
Structure, Community & Purpose
One of the most powerful tools at Mercy House is structure. For many men, daily routine is something they've never had. Here, every day is built around purpose — and that changes everything.
Discipleship & Biblical Teaching
Every morning begins with chapel — not as a formality, but as the heartbeat of everything we do. Residents engage in daily Bible study, group prayer, and one-on-one discipleship with staff and mentors. Faith isn't added on top of the program here. It is the program.
Mentorship & Accountability
Every resident is paired with staff mentors and surrounded by peers walking the same path. Many of our staff came through this same program. They aren't coaching from the outside — they know what it's like from the inside. That kind of mentorship is rare and it matters.
Life-Skills Development
From financial literacy to conflict resolution, personal responsibility to healthy communication, residents build practical skills through classes, real-world work experience, and guided reflection. These are the skills that determine whether a man's life after graduation looks different from the one before it.

Call or Apply
Pick up the phone and call our intake coordinator at (601) 720-3718, or fill out the online application. Either way, a real person will respond — not a voicemail system. We'll have an honest conversation about your situation and whether Mercy House is the right fit.
Call (601) 720-3718Complete Intake
Our team will walk you through a confidential intake process — a simple conversation to gather the information we need to prepare for your arrival. We'll be honest with you about what to expect, and we'll answer every question you have.
Arrive & Begin
We'll tell you exactly what to bring, what your first week will look like, and who will be there to welcome you. From day one, you're part of a community. You won't be starting from zero alone.
